Putt Pirates is an 18-hole pirate-themed mini golf course — two of them, actually, one on Historic Route 66 in St. Robert, Missouri and one in Anderson, Indiana. Both are outdoor courses built for family fun, competition, and the specific satisfaction of sinking a ball in Uranus. Here’s everything you need to know before you show up with your putter.
Putt Pirates Missouri: 14797 State Hwy Z, St. Robert, MO 65584 | Open Mon-Thurs, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (CST); Fri-Sun, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Putt Pirates Indiana: 1423 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013 | Open daily 11 AM – 8 PM
The Two Courses:
Putt Pirates Missouri — St. Robert, Route 66

14797 State Hwy Z, St. Robert, MO 65584 | Phone: (573) 336-8758
The original Putt Pirates course sits right on Historic Route 66 in St. Robert, Missouri, adjacent to the Uranus Fudge Factory & General Store at 14400 State Hwy Z. It’s a full 18-hole outdoor course on a beautifully maintained pirate theme — and it overlooks Route 66, which means you’re playing mini golf on one of America’s most iconic roads.
The standout feature is the Mega Mayor — a large-scale figure of Mayor Louie Keen that overlooks the course and Route 66 beyond it. It’s the photo op most people don’t expect and can’t resist.
Hours: Mon–Thu 11 AM–8 PM, Fri–Sun 11 AM–9 PM. Call ahead at (573) 336-8758 to confirm before visiting.
Seasonal note: The Missouri course closes for winter.
Pricing: Adults $9.50 + tax | Children 10 years old and younger $8.50 + tax
Putt Pirates Indiana — Anderson

1423 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013 | Phone: (765) 274-5070
The Anderson location brought Putt Pirates to Indiana in May 2024 — a full 18-hole course at the Uranus Anderson complex, 2 miles off I-69 at Exit 222. Same pirate theme, same family-focused design, same combination of fun and mild competition that makes mini golf the right activity for groups of any size and skill level.
The Anderson course is part of the broader Uranus Anderson complex — the two-story slide playground is right there, hot dogs and ice cream are in a separate building, and the full Uranus gift shop is next door. A round of Putt Pirates is the natural anchor for a full afternoon at the Anderson location.
Hours: Open daily 11 AM – 8 PM Pricing: Same
What the Course Is Like

Both Putt Pirates courses are full 18-hole outdoor mini golf layouts on a pirate theme. Here’s what to expect:
The theme: Pirate-themed obstacles, decorations, and course design throughout. The kind of coherent visual theme that makes the round feel like an experience rather than just 18 holes of carpet.
The rules: Standard mini golf — each player putts until the ball is holed. If your ball leaves the turf area (onto cobblestones, creek beds, or landscape beds), take one penalty stroke and place the ball back where it left the turf. Keep it moving — the course is designed for continuous play.
The age rule: You must be 18 years old to play, or have someone 18 or older in your group. This applies at both locations.
The skill level: Genuinely suitable for all levels. The courses are designed for family fun and competition — beginners can get around without frustration, and anyone who takes their short game seriously will find enough challenge to stay engaged. Mini golf has a way of leveling the playing field between a 10-year-old and their very competitive uncle.
Weather: Both courses are outdoor. The Missouri course closes for inclement weather — call ahead at (573) 336-8758 if the forecast is uncertain. The Anderson course follows the same rule.
What’s Nearby at Each Location

At the Missouri Course
Everything at the Uranus General Store is steps away — fresh fudge made daily in the on-site kitchen, Uranus Ice Cream Co. (open 11 AM – 6 PM), the Sideshow Museum (9 AM – 9 PM), and the full gift shop. The Route 66 Neon Park is right next door, lit from dusk to midnight.
A full Missouri visit: arrive at the General Store when it opens at 8 AM, get fudge, play Putt Pirates when it opens at 11 AM, grab ice cream after your round, browse the Sideshow Museum, and come back at dusk for the Neon Park. That’s a complete day.
At the Indiana Course
The Anderson Uranus complex has mini golf, a large playground with a two-story slide, hot dogs and ice cream in a separate building, and the full gift shop. A round of Putt Pirates followed by ice cream and the playground is the natural family afternoon at the Anderson location.
Ask for Mason or Aimee at the Anderson store if they’re working.
Tips for Playing Putt Pirates
Go on a weekday if you can. Both courses are busier on weekends, especially in summer. A weekday afternoon is the quieter option for anyone who wants to move at their own pace.
Bring sunscreen. Both courses are outdoor. Missouri in particular sits in open air on the Route 66 corridor — there’s not a lot of shade on a summer afternoon.
Make it competitive. Mini golf is more fun with stakes. A simple rule — loser buys ice cream — is all you need to make the round considerably more interesting for everyone involved.
Get the photo with the Mega Mayor. The Missouri course has a large-scale figure of Mayor Louie Keen overlooking Route 66. It is a significant piece of work and you will want a photo with it.
Check the weather before you go to Missouri. The Missouri course closes for inclement weather and for winter. Call (573) 336-8758 if the forecast looks uncertain.
I recently scored a course speed record, finishing in less than five minutes and scoring -8.
The Pro Shop
Both Putt Pirates locations have a pro shop stocked with t-shirts, beverages, and Putt Pirates gear. The Putt Pirates t-shirt and golf towels are also available online at UranusGeneralStore.com year-round — including during the Missouri course’s winter closure.
