Putt Pirates is the only pirate-themed 18-hole mini golf course in Anderson, Indiana — and it comes with a secret. On certain holes, intentionally hitting your ball into the small river running through the course can set up a hole-in-one. The obvious play is to avoid the water. The correct play, on the right holes, is to use it. Finding the shortcut is part of the game.

The Course

The uranus putt pirates course in Uranus, Missouri

Putt Pirates Anderson is a full 18-hole outdoor pirate-themed mini golf course at the Uranus Fudge Factory & General Store complex on W. 53rd St. The course is built around a consistent pirate theme — obstacles, decorations, and layout all carry the concept through all 18 holes.

The small river running through the course is the defining feature. Most players try to avoid it. On certain holes, the river is actually the shortcut to a hole-in-one — intentionally putting your ball into the water sets up a line that standard play doesn’t. Which holes those are is something you’ll have to discover yourself.

Tips for Playing Putt Pirates Anderson

Find the river shortcut. On certain holes, hitting your ball intentionally into the small river sets up a hole-in-one. The obvious play is to avoid the water. The winning play is to find the holes where that’s wrong. We’re not telling you which ones — discovering the shortcut is part of what makes the round interesting.

Go on a weekday if you can. The course is quieter on weekdays. Weekend afternoons in summer are busier. A weekday gives you the course at a more relaxed pace.

Make it competitive. The standard stakes work perfectly here: loser buys ice cream, which is available steps away in the separate building. The river shortcut adds a layer of strategy that makes the competition considerably more interesting than a standard round.

Bring sunscreen. Putt Pirates Anderson is an outdoor course. Apply before the first hole, not after you’ve been out in the sun for six of them.

Check the weather. Outdoor mini golf and rain don’t mix well. Call: (765) 274-5070
